This was a few weeks ago.
Towards the end of the day I met an older gentleman that was a christian and made it quite obvious. He was passionate about his faith and wanting to share it. We talked back and forth about several different topics with christianity and I showed him several books as well as Great Controversy. At first he was interested but then said he might like to take Peace Above the Storm instead as he seemed to have too much controversy. I told him that the GC would better be called "The Great Hope". Almost immediately he grabbed it back again as I told him that it shows the battle that we all have been seeing through time and that it delineates truth from error in a very clear way. He was really excited to get it and said he would read it every day!

We were cleaning up just before lunch and I went to get one last door. I started canvassing the dad on Seven Secrets but he said that he was an ex-chef so he didn't need it, so I pulled out Storytime and began the canvass and he began to shut me down but suddenly his daughters hand flew out from behind him and grabbed the book as she excitedly said, "Daddy, Can we get it, Can we get it?" "My friend got this book and I want it too!" What a tremendous Surprise to me and a blessing too!

Today I was getting rather discouraged but I pressed on from door to door. I came to a door and began to knock but no one answered, except the dog so I began to leave. as I was walking away someone came to the door, so I returned! I am sure glad I did. I began talking with the young lady. Canvassed her on Seven Secrets and several of the other books. She listened and was interested and in the end wanted Seven Secrets and the Great Controversy! One of the leaders came with the Credit Card Machine and we did the transaction but while we were waiting for him to get there we talked a little bit and I asked if she had some bottled water, she went in her garage and came out with a huge thing of water! I was sure grateful.
Ok, so to start things off, Here's my first post.
I have come back to the Seattle area this summer to do the Washington Youth Rush program again like I did last summer.
We are already halfway through our third week, which is use crazy! Time is flying! Keep us in your prayers friends. God bless and talk to you more soon.
